The Upper Arkansas River offers world class flyfishing.  While brown trout make up 90% of the river's trout population, rainbows bred from wild fish give anglers a colorful occasional treat.  Nearby mountain lakes and streams are home to Greenback Cutthroats.  April and May bring "blizzards" to the river in the form of baetis and caddis hatches.

River Run Inn sits on the river three miles northwest of downtown Salida.  The Inn has 1/8 mile of private access and is adjacent to miles of public land and lease access.  Within walking distance is a stocked pond perfect for practice.  Short drives take anglers to nearby mountain lakes and streams.Truly good fishing and good catching!
